Crayons and catastrophe: The Symbols of Young Minds
In Gaza's landscape of turmoil, children's drawings emerge as powerful storytellers. Their crayons and pencils become tools to express fears, hopes, and dreams. These drawings, often filled with both dark and hopeful symbols, offer a window into the inner world of these young minds. Tanks and trees, doves and drones—each symbol a juxtaposition of the harsh realities of war and the resilient spirit of childhood. Through these artworks, children communicate their experiences, interpret their surroundings, and share their unique perspectives on a life overshadowed by genocide.
